HM Bark ENDEAVOUR Careened

Commissioned by Professor Niels C. Pedersen of Davis, California.
The painting depicts the historical scene at the mouth of the (now) Endeavour River in North Eastern Australia (Cooktown) where Captain James Cook beached the bark ENDEAVOUR to effect repairs to her hull after grounding on the Great Barrier Reef in June 1770.
The Rescue of the HELEN B. STERLING

Commissioned by CMDR Mick Harris of the Royal Australian Navy, this painting depicts the rescue of the crew and passengers of the schooner HELEN B. STERLING by HMAS MELBOURNE in 1922.

SATS GENERAL BOTHA (ex-HMS THAMES) was a training ship for the South African Navy between 1922 and 1942. This painting of the ship was commissioned by the Board of Trustees of the General Botha Old Boys Association.
